Parent Corner

The Parent Corner at Sathyam International School is designed to strengthen the partnership between home and school. We believe that consistent communication, shared responsibility, and active involvement from parents play a vital role in a child’s academic and personal growth.

Communication Guidelines

  • Parents are encouraged to check the school diary every day for homework, notices, and important updates.
  • All communication from teachers must be acknowledged promptly.
  • For any concerns, parents may contact the class teacher through the diary or request an appointment through the school office.
  • WhatsApp or phone communication will be used only for official school updates.
  • Parents should ensure that their contact information is always updated with the school.

Parent Responsibilities

  • Ensure your child attends school regularly and arrives on time.
  • Monitor homework, revision, and study routines at home.
  • Send your child in proper, neat uniform every day.
  • Provide a healthy lunch and ensure good hygiene practices.
  • Encourage good behaviour, respect, and discipline at home and school.
  • Inform the school immediately if there is a change in address or contact number.

PTM Guidelines (Parent–Teacher Meetings)

  • PTMs are conducted periodically to discuss academic progress and behaviour.
  • Parents must attend all PTMs to stay informed about their child’s development.
  • Meetings should be attended on time to avoid crowding.
  • Any concerns or special requests may be discussed directly with the teacher during PTM hours.
  • Children may accompany parents only when necessary.

Emergency Rules

  • In case of emergencies, parents must contact the school office immediately.
  • Students will be handed over only to authorised persons listed in school records.
  • If a student needs to leave during school hours for genuine reasons, an entry in the diary and approval from the Principal are mandatory.
  • During medical emergencies, the school will provide first aid and contact parents immediately.
  • Parents should avoid picking up children outside the permitted out-pass timings unless it's a true emergency.
